Avalanche 1.3.1 for Magento 1.7

It’s been a month since our last release of Avalanche and I’m pleased to announce another update! Avalanche 1.3.1 comes with a bunch of important fixes and compatibility with Magento 1.7. Many new features are in development for the next major release. In the meantime we upgraded the AJAX catalog and added some new sorting options. Here’s a comprehensive list of improvements to our premium Magento theme:

  • Total AJAX Catalog with HTML5 Pushstate
  • Added custom sorting options for ascending and descending: Featured, Price, Name, Best Selling, Latest, Highest Reviewed
  • Added arrows to categories in left pane with subcategories in Avalanche Mobile
  • Added “View Details” button to catalog grid view with configurable display and button text
  • Improved relevance of search results (?)
  • Styled the minimal price link on catalog grid/list view
  • Removed old/special price labels on catalog grid/list view for cleaner look
  • Fixed display issue with Search Autocomplete in IE
  • Updated boilerplate translate.csv file
  • Fixed inline JavaScript translation
  • Improved Advanced Catalog Search Form
  • Fixed Quick View in Advanced Catalog Search
  • Fixed empty paragraph issue in /catalog/product/view/description.phtml
  • Fixed Best Sellers Widget for Flat Catalog (and old Best Sellers)
  • Fixed HTTP_USER_AGENT error for mobile (Data.php)
  • Moved the Paypal Express checkout button below “Proceed to Checkout” button on cart page
  • Fixed Quick View pricing updates for configurable products with price changing attributes/dropdowns
  • Removed opinionated strip_tags() and getCleanContent() helper on description and short descriptions on the product page
