Simple Configurable Products

SCP is a great extension for Magento that makes it easy to provide different prices and content for each simple product in a configurable product:

This extension changes the way that the pricing of configurable products works in Magento. With this extension enabled, a configurable product’s own price is never used. Instead, the price used is that of the matching associated product.

Best of all Simple Configurable Products is a free extension. To get started you’ll need to install SCP via Magento Connect.

Avalanche integration is really simple. You just need to customize a JavaScript file to take advantage of Avalanche’s markup:

    This plug-in does exactly what I wanted it to do ! Although now I cannot re-index my product prices without causing Magento errors.

    Hi, SCP doesn’t seem to work properly with Magento 1.7xx – the last compatible version is 1.5 according to Magento Connect.
